    Are we doing any sort of concerts for the anniversary (other than the low brass thingy at the end of the year)?

    This is a great idea. The “official” 100th anniversary events were planned several years ago, but I am open to suggestions on how we can incorporate the centennial into our own studio activities.

    The first idea that came to my mind is to perform Anthony Braxton’s “Composition No. 19 for 100 tubas!” He is a very serious composer and this piece was recently performed in New York. We could perform it at the final concert of our Regional conference in March, when we are sure to be able to find 100 tubas.
